한국MSD는 거대세포바이러스(CMV) 감염 예방제 ‘프레비미스(레테르모비르)’가 식품의약품안전처로부터 소아 환자 대상 적응증 확대 승인을 받았다고 밝혔다. 이번 승인으로 프레비미스는 조혈모세포이식(HSCT)을 받은 30kg 이상 소아 환자와 CMV 혈청 양성 공여자로부터 신장이식을 받은 40kg 이상 소아 환자에게 CMV 감염 및 질환 예방 목적으로 사용할 수 있게 됐다. 근거 임상(P030)에서 프레비미스 투여군의 CMV 감염 발생률은 14주 시점 7.1%, 24주 시점 10.7%로 성인과 유사한 유효성과 안전성을 보였다. MSD는 이번 적응증 확대가 소아 이식 환자들의 감염 위험을 줄이는 새로운 치료 옵션이 될 것이라고 강조했다.
